Day 2: Gorilla trekking Experience
Day 3: Drive back to Kigali
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Land at the Kigali International Airport
Depending on the flight used to arrive at the Kigali International airport, your driver-guide will be there to greet you and exchange pleasantries with you before giving you a briefing before you take a journey to your accommodation. For those who arrive early, take some time to tour the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site before visiting the Kimironko Market and eating lunch. To get to the accommodations in Ruhengeri, the mountain gorillas’ habitat, you must drive for around two hours to the west of the nation. Arrive at the hotel in time for supper and spend the night.
Day 2: Volcanoes national park gorilla trek
Experience with gorilla trekking: Today is the biggest day of the three-day expedition! You’ll feel energised and eager for the day’s activities when you awaken. In order to arrive at the park headquarters in time for the briefing on the gorilla trekking Uganda trip at 7 am, connect for an early breakfast by 6 am. You will enter the jungle and look for mountain gorillas for about 4 to 5 hours; on a good day, you might spend less time searching if the gorillas spent the night nearby. The length of a mountain gorilla excursion is solely determined by the gorillas’ overnight location or the distance they have traveled through the forest. When you do get to see the mountain gorillas, you are given a full hour to observe them from a distance of 6 meters while they go about their daily activities. After eating your prepared lunch, leave the forest and head back to your lodging so you may recover.
Iby’iwachu Cultural Tour: If you still have the energy left over, you can arrange with your driver-guide to go on a cultural tour of the Iby’iwachu Cultural Center. This will give you a sample of the dances, languages, and traditional ways of life that make up Rwandan culture. Before dusk, arrive back at your lodging in time for dinner. Continue to spend the second night in the same hotel.
Day 3: Drive back to Kigali
Take a filling breakfast at your hotel, pack your things, and check out of your lodging before beginning the three to two-hour drive back to Kigali City. If inclined, you could stop en route to see the Dian Fossey Fund Museum, eat lunch in Musanze, and then continue on your way to be dropped off in Kigali.
