10 Days Uganda – Rwanda Wildlife Safari : Experience an abundance of wildlife, scenery, and people interactions on this 10 day Safari by Kibale Tours. For most people gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking are the highlight of this safari. However, there are several opportunities of seeing numerous exotic animals like Rhinos, lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopard, elephants, and several species of birds. Day 1: Arrival to the Pearl of Africa

On arrival, Kibale Tours representative will welcome you to Uganda at Entebbe airport and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the breeze from Lake Victoria – 2nd largest lake in the world.

Day 2: Rhino trekking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

On the 2nd day of your 10 Days Uganda – Rwanda Wildlife Safari, have an early breakfast and depart for Murchison Falls National Park. This journey takes you through the numerous small town scattered along the highway. Your first stopover is Ziwa Rhino sanctuary route to track Rhinos.

After this experience, proceed to the park with a stopover at the ‘Top of the falls’ where the River Nile is forced through a 7-meter gorge with a thunderous fall.

Driver time – 5 hours or Scheduled flight – 1 hour 10 minutes

Day 3: Game drive and Boat Safari on River Nile

Murchison Falls National park is the largest park in Uganda. The game drives start early morning right after breakfast which increases the chances of sighting different animals before they go into hiding during the heat of the day. The game drive happens in the northern bank of River Nile, where we look out for giraffes, elephants, hartebeest, Buffaloes, Leopards, Lions and different bird species.

In the after-noon, the safari will continue on River Nile – Nile boat safari towards the mighty Murchison falls. The relaxed boat safari provides more opportunities for spotting a variety of animals and birds and falls from. You have an opportunity to watch the falls from below and hike up to the top – you need to be in good shape to enjoy this short hike.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Today we depart for the home of Chimpanzee in Kibale National Park. Kibale forest is home to 13 species of primates with the main attraction being chimpanzee tracking and bird watching. The journey to this tropical forest passes villages and colorful road markets. Lunch will en route or packed.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

On this day you will do the chimp trekking adventure, have breakfast early enough and head to the park headquarters for a briefing then head to the forest where you will spend 2-5 hours. You will see other primates like the Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys, Olive baboons plus more others that make the forest qualify as the primate capital of the world. Chimpanzee tracking is an adventure that takes you deep in the forest with streams of water and abundant wildlife. You start with a briefing from the ranger guide about your chimp trek. On your trek, you might have sightings of red-tailed monkeys, black-and white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the canopies. With the help of your ranger guide, you will locate the chimps. Enjoy picture moments and watch them as they play, groom, and feed.

You will have lunch after the trek and then drive to Queen Elizabeth national park with game viewing. On arrival at the park in the evening hours check in dinner and rest up for the day.

Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp 

Day 6: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

On the 6th day of your 10 Days Uganda – Rwanda Wildlife Safari, warm up with a cup of coffee and head for the game drive in the kasenyi plains to meet with the early risers that will overwhelm you at the way they relate while in the wild. See the various animals that live here, the bush bucks, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes, Lions, elephants. You will then return to then get back to the lodge with your lunch ready to be served freshen up and head for the afternoon 2hours boat cruise along the kazinga channel which also comes along with a lot of beauties to be seen. For example the yawning hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, various bird species such as red chest, papyrus Gonolek, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, yellow crown, water thick-knee, yellow-billed stork, shoe bill stock.

Thereafter head back to lodge dinner and rest.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi

Have breakfast and thereafter your driver guide will pick you up for the journey to Bwindi forest.  The journey takes you through beautiful landscape of Kigezi region of winding terraced hills arriving at the lodge later that afternoon.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

Mountain gorillas are true gentle giants found in Bwindi impenetrable forest and Mgahinga gorilla national park in Uganda. The driver guide will transfer you to the briefing area where you will meet your ranger guide. After briefing you will start the journey into the park with guidance of the ranger guide. The Gorilla trekking experience takes anything from a few minutes to hours to eventually sight the gorillas, you are only allowed one hour with gorillas to capture your finest moment before you start your trek back. .

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Kivu

On the 9th day of your 10 Days Uganda – Rwanda Wildlife Safari, after breakfast, you will drive to the Lake Kivu via Cyanika border with Rwanda. Enjoy the amazing scenery of rolling hills. Enjoy your time at the shores of Lake Kivu and remind from the long safari you have had. You have opportunities for a boat trip on the lake.

Optional activities: Kayaking, boarding, paddling

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali International Airport
