Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park and Ihema Boat Cruise.
Your driver-guide will meet you at the prearranged location in Kigali, and you’ll be transferred to Akagera National Park in time to board the boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you can see animals like hippopotamuses and elephants quenching their thirst by the riverbanks, crocodiles, and many bird species like the endangered shoe bill stork, the king fisher, and many other water birds that inhabit the lake and the nearby swamps.Ruzizi Tented Camp: Dinner and overnight
Day 2 : Full day Game drive
The second day of your three-day trip to Akagera National Park begins with an early morning game drive in anticipation of seeing various animals that awaken early to graze and predators searching for their early morning kill, particularly the big cats like the leopard, lions, and other carnivores. Numerous herbivores, including rhinos, elephants, gazelles, oribi, and other exciting game animals, can be seen grazing on the plains.
You will return to your accommodation after the morning game drives for refreshments before being transferred to the evening game drive later that day. Prepare to see how the park comes to life as dusk falls, with a variety of predators emerging from their hiding places to capture prey, herbivores grabbing their last meal of the day, crocodiles basking in the sun, and elephants quenching their thirst from the banks of the river. This will make your safari quite memorable. You will return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge after an incredible safari adventure.
Day:3 Rhino tracking and departure
Get up early and go engage in rhino tracking to get a close-up view of the rhinos. This involves walking to the rhinos on foot to watch their behavior in the wild for a memorable Rwanda safari experience.After your experience, your driver/guide will take you back to Kigali, where you can check into a hotel of your choosing or be dropped off at the airport if you need to catch a flight back home. If you didn’t get to take a city tour of Kigali on your first day, you can do one now. Tour is over.
