Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at airport

Meet and greet with company representative from Kibale Tours. Transfer to your hotel in Kampala and later after refreshments, hit the streets to experience Kampala nightlife or visit Lake Victoria for fresh fish for dinner. Later retire to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2Kampala-Bwindi gorilla safari

After your breakfast from hotel of residence meet our guide, exchange greetings and thereafter transfer to south-western Uganda via Masaka-Mbarara highway with en-route stop at the Uganda equator for snacks, amazing photographs. Lunch in Mbarara town at hotel, after through the verdant land forms trail to the park and enjoy your dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 3Gorilla Trekking Adventure

After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before you set off at 9:00 am through the tracks to search for the humble giants. You will go with packed lunch because it’s hard to determine how long it will take you to meet these great apes. However the time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the giant primates. The activity is tiresome, it involves walking along steep hilly tracks however encountering these great relatives of man erases all the poor memories/ hardships you went through in trying to find them. They are awe-inspiring! After the experience return to park offices to be awarded with the gorilla trekking certificate and after transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector which is in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Expect to see the famous tree climbing lions that can be spotted on the large fig trees and other wild life such as Topis, Buffaloes and warthogs later retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 4Game drive & Boat ride

After early breakfast, go for morning game drive. This game drive will take you through the Kasenyi sector and the queens’ mile in the park and will reward you with animals like Lions, elephants, hyenas, Giant forest hogs, Bush bucks, Warthogs, Hyenas, civets, aardvarks, Leopards, and many more. After lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel that connects lakes Edward and George. The launch cruise will reward you with game like hippos, elephants, buffaloes and birds at the shores. Later, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 5Chimpanzee Tracking & Crater Lakes Experience

After breakfast, enter the forest in search for chimpanzees the experience is quiet exciting and adventurous. Expect to see other species of primates such as Baboons, Red Columbus monkey, Black and white Columbus monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Birds like sun birds, Turaco, pitas and other bird species, butter fly species etc. Lunch after take a leisurely walk around crater lakes in search of birds and other primates. Return to lodge for campfire, dinner and overnight.

Day 6Tea estate visit or Canoeing & Community walk

After breakfast, visit the tea estates and learn how tea is grown and processed. Take amazing photos of tea landscapes. Optional activity is canoeing as you enjoy sunrise and a variety of birds. After lunch, take a walk around the community and learn about the way of life for the locals. Later, return to the camp for dinner, campfire and community entertainment.
