This safari, takes you to forested areas in Uganda at Kibale forest having the highest number of primate species in Africa and discover Uganda on this incredible safari to the Queen Elizabeth National Park which will have you marvelling at a huge variety of beautiful flora and fauna. It’s straight into the action when you arrive, with an afternoon game drive around the park. Enjoy a 2 hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel between Lakes George and Edward and see large numbers of hippos.

Itinerary

Day 1Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Parks (9-10 hours)

You will be picked from Entebbe/Kampala by a Kibale Tours representative (Guide) who will transfer you to the southwest part of the country, on our way we will pass the Ugandan Equator where we will make a stop for photos and souvenir shopping. In the afternoon arrival in Queen Elizabeth NP and continue to hotel.

Day 2Game drive & boat safari

The day begins early as we start with a morning game drive and head for Kasenyi the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for the lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant bird life that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.

Day 3Transfer to kibale forest

Early breakfasts then we leave Queen Elizabeth to the foothills of the Rwenzori later continue to Kibale through Fort Portal where you will see the beautiful tea plantations and the beautiful hills along the way. Arrive in the afternoon in time for lunch and there after enjoy crater lakes walk. Return to the camp for dinner and lakeside campfire.

Day 4Chimpanzee tracking

With one of the highest concentration of primates in East Africa- Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walk. Enjoy canoeing as your experience Africa’s stunning sunset.

Day 5Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe airport
